Gmail Ups Invites To 50

    I just noticed that my Gmail account allows up to 50 invites now (up from 6). Maybe that means they are getting close to bringing it out of beta?

    Update: I guess it happened last week... oh well, I'm behind the times.

    Yeah I noticed that last week. But I also noticed that the people who get new account can't get to send out any more invites. So yeah probably almost out of beta.

    I'm sure they are anxious to get that done - so they can put alittle more resources into the war on search.....

    I noticed this last week.

    Funny thing is, last Monday I used 5 of those 50 invites, and now I have 50 again!

    They really want to get as many users as possible.

    You think this can be an indication of beta phase coming to an end?

    I know what mean, even if we all managed to give out 50 invites, we would get 50 more the very next day.

    I too checked out my mailbox today and was surprised to find 50 invites in there...But i would second what dchoe said, i don't even have 50 friends:)
