Hi, I was just wondering, in gmail, you have targetted ads dependant upon the email you are viewing. That means that if you are a webhost or some company offering a subscription product, people will see you emails along with other ads offering what you offer. This is the same reason why people don't have adsense on their websites that offer a product. Do you think that people loose customers after seeing relevant ads in the emails you send, and does this mean you could try adding irrelevant keywords to the bottom of an email to throw google off your service? Also, would google ever plan on making it so that companies can pay to have their emails/domains free of ads in gmail? Just a thought -Hecky PS. Not allowed to copy that last idea I had. Google : PM me for a price
there is every possible chance to loose customers, very valid point since people trust gmail a lot, they would trust those ads as well.
I would never use a free email service for my business. I think it looks cheap and tacky. Especially if you're hosting sites - surely you can afford a .com email address??
I don't trust gmail, since I heard that they can use your emails in court as evidence. Not that I've done anything wrong, it's just that they can have access to my email :/
Regarding that point, yahoo and hotmail are the exact same. Including ads and release of information. Pierce
