    Yeah, but they're both competing with each other. Google and Yahoo, that is.

    To the OP,

    Well, I'm pretty sure that they had some smart plans for the whole G-Mail thing. Maybe people will see that they're accepting the fact that G-Mail is growing and Yahoo! Mail is slowly decreasing?

    I think Yahoo trying to help their user to access many things from a single page. Thats why they have Facebook, Gmail etc on their page.

    It goes directly to gmail.com ?

    If so then maybe they are promoting them...for a cash settlement of course ;)

    But if it doesnt go directly maybe they are giving people who do have a gmail account easier access to emails without leaving yahoo

    are you kidding? Gmail is ten time better than Yahoo mail! It load very fast, you can change a lot of settings, you have alerts, the messages from the same user are easy to track!

    Gmail = 10 points

    Yahoo = 3 points

    I think it's not about Yahoo promoting GMail. I think Yahoo is trying to become home page on every computer around the world. And allowing access to GMail from there homepage is a very good thing, because the users will not go to GMail's site for checking mail.

    I think Yahoo is enough intelligent. :rolleyes:

    I know AOL does the same thing on there mail. I think Google is most likely paying for that link to be there. Why not make money from the competition? :)
