gmail - new accounts require a sms actiovation code

whenever you try to add more accounts from same machine that google robot start asking random questions..

 

depend on your IP

 

Nothing new. It asks sometime and sometimes don't.

 

Every time I created a fake account with bogus info I had to do SMS activation.

 

coz of spamming..this was bad news fr everyone...it's old things now

 

Guess this is for security/antispam purposes

 

I think it is a preventive measures of Google just right after the hacking of some Chinese last Tuesday.

Yes this happens. I tried to sign up for a friend from my home and there was this sms activation thing and my country was not available for sms sending at that time. What I did was invited him to gmail from within my google mail and then he was able to sign up easily.

 

Yesterday, I created more than 5 accounts on gmail and it didn't ask for any code activation. May be you're making too much. Wait for some and try again. Think this could help you little bit.
