is it really that good? as if you'd use 1 gig of mail space anyway?

 

It's got a lot going for it besides the space. Like the label system, the fast loading times, and the lack of banner ads!!

FYI when someone invites you to use Gmail, they need your (real):

• first name

• last name and

• email address

I don't have any left at present but will post when I get allocated more invites.

 

I found out about a few New GMail features

 

FYI FWIW: All you really need is their Email address to send 'em the URL for the invite ... actually, you don't even HAVE to have that since if you put that URL on a website, people can just click on that to setup their account. That's actually how we do things on the powder2glass google toolbar site - they can then customize from there.

FYI FWIW: We've been giving away free gmail invites almost daily over at the powder2glass google toolbar page - next one is between 1000-1100 (MDT] today - in case some some "inside" information will help you out, this one will go at 33 minutes past the hour ...

At present I have no invites left, just 20+ requests for invites.

Believe it or not, my Mum phoned to ask if I could get her an invitation to use Gmail I was speachless.

Fifteen years ago I taught her how to turn her computer on and type a letter, now she wants gmail? Parents are growing up fast these days!

Mum gets the first invite, other than that - I'll post here when I get more invites.

PS - For those posting their email addresses, it might be an idea to spell it out (e.g. address at hotmail dot com) as these forums are probably spidered by those bastards that poach email addresses from websites them spam the daylights out of them.
