I know I'm probably a minority, but I don't like gmail. I've been using it for some time, have invites, but just don't like the format. Maybe it's just me :)

I've been itching to try out Gmail since summer, it's always frustrated me how they avoid a launch date. I'd be chuffed if you could send me an invite Seoxperts - or anyone else who has one spare.
    My email is ikarusland@hotmail.com

    Cheers :)

Unbeknownst to me, my daughter has had a gmail account for quite a while and has been sitting on her invitations. A little arm twisting and some less-than-subtle threats induced her to use one of those invitations for her old man.

I haven't had much time to use it or play with it but my initial impression is that Gmail is pretty sweet and shows a lot of potential.

If anybody would like to help me discover what it's potential is feel free to email me there: neterslandreau at gmail.com

One of the best parts of GMail is the awesome spam filter. I have no idea what kind of algorithms they use. All that I know is that it works amazingly and I don't mind giving out my gmail address because I know that I won't be bothered with garbage.

I agree. I made the mistake of giving out my Yahoo address freely, and now I can't even read mail in it anymore because of all the crap I get. I've been selective with Gmail, and the only spam ive gotten (and most of it has been blocked) is the "cold calling" type spam...where they just email your username and hundreds of others.

    ex:

    etc...

My account has only been around for a couple of days so I haven't rec'd a single spam yet. As an experiment, I should use that addy to sign up for various chances to win a cruise and see how long my inbox stays clean.. Nah, forget that idea.

How long before people start saying, "just drop me a gmail on it"?

I've had a bit of spam as my email address is mentioned online, but 99% of it gets captured and I rarely get bothered with it.

Sometimes Gmail does not even load on my laptop. I suspect it's the broadband line we're having..
