Gmail is far faster and I really prefer it over Yahoo Mail. Now since Yahoo is offering unlimited amounts of storage, it's good in that way, but Gmail has over 2GB so that's more than enough for most people.
Even if yahoo offers unlimited, its difficult to beat Gmail. These days almost every one uses gmail only
Gmail offers enough storage to keep most people happy. Plus, it loads much faster than Yahoo! mail does.
I love google when it comes to search engine. But in terms of Email features I love yahoo its user interface is great. I don't like the e-mail features of google, but it is only my suggestion.
Yahoo's free service is pretty lacking compared to Gmail or others. Their premium service is solid, but not many people are willing to pay for email anymore. Gmail, on the other hand, has done a pretty good job so far. The problem with it is that most people are only using it as their "extra" address (with facebook stuff and online shopping, etc.) They've also done a pretty good job of filtering spam (especially with their "plus addressing"). Now, for the self-plug. (disclaimer: I DO work for OtherInbox) We just launched at TechCrunch50, and we are still in private beta. The essential drive of our email service is to give you an automated way of organizing your "other inbox" (the facebook, shopping and newsletter emails that you dont NEED to read right away). By giving each user their own domain name (xxxx@username.otherinbox.com), we can allow you to give different addresses (facebook@username.otherinbox.com) and then see them automatically organized in your inbox. Also, this allows for you to do away with whatever spam leaks through the cracks, as you can easily see what website it is coming from and block them. We have a blog running at otherinbox.com that y'all should check out if you're interested. If some people show interest, I'll even be able to get some beta invites!
I think Yahoo is better than Gmail... But, for real I never used Gmail. Everyone I know uses AOL or Yahoo. !
I have Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail and have used all of them for years, but Hotmail more than any other. It doesn't matter though as I use POP access and pick up all of my email through Outlook A single access point and storage point for all of your mail is the only way to go.
