http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/050418/084907.html I wonder how big the max file size is... has anyone used them? I'm gonna give it a whirl.
In case you have noticed, Gmail is basically unlimited storage too. Your allowed storage space grows every day (currently it's 2,137MB). in fact, on the main Gmail login screen, there is a counter that runs in realtime of how much space people get.
I can't imagine ever needing that much storage space for email. I may be a packrat in my offline life, but I don't need to keep thousands of email messages.
In the TOS it says nothing will ever be deleted in any way shape or form. So it has to grow. Every personal message ever sent through the google server by everyone in the world on file and indexed. WTF do they need that for? This is starting to sound like a si-fi novel.
There is actually a Google Utility that will allow you to use your Gmail storage as an remote HD. Back when gmail was first introduced someone tried to test the spam filter by getting people to sign him up for everything. I wonder if is inbox is still full since they started increasing the size daily?
Storage is not an issue any more after Gmail was launched, now it's all about usability, and Gmail is the best in every aspect I can see. That's cool, never noticed it.
I can't ever hope to read or use the email I have on 10 or so free Yahoo accounts, in fact I have lost so many old email accounts because I don't log into to a lot of them for over 4 months and the accounts with email are deleted. Life sucks, but you can't ever get to all the email folks send you so it might as well be erased.
Want me to send you a Gmail invitation, AC? Nothing EVER gets deleted there no matter how long it takes you to return...
Why not, what the hell, another email account that I will never read I got an invitation a while back from someone but never opened the account, go ahead and send me another one, maybe I will join the cause this time
