    THat legal battle is going to take so long (Its not as clear cut as it was in the UK) that there will probably be a different email system all together.

    It has already changed to googlemail.com in germany, because google lost the case over here.

    you can either use googlemail or gmail, both will work for all addresses as far as i know

    thats why i use Google Apps domain now where you can use your own domain (sample@sample.com) and still be able to use gmail. :D
