    i want to know how much (in terms of number) emails you can add in a single gmail group.

    If you are thinking of doing a bulk email campaign through gmail then 500 is the limit i think. But its not a good idea to do bulk campaigns with free mail-ids as it may lead to IP ban also at times

    I have tried doing bulk emailing a long back and my account got blocked after 100 emails only!

    Its much better to use private SMTP server along with some mass mailer software

    Most of the free mailing services has the same limits on the number of emails you can send per day

    there is no limit to it in my opinion, though i never tried it

    Yes, as many as you want. Google hasn´t limit for gmail. Only MB limit.
