    Sorry if this is the wrong section folks...

    Ok, i got Glype installed ok and put a new skin on it! Looks good!

    Had some problems when testing some websites ie youtube and bebo...i found that i had to uncheck "remove scripts" which then allowed both logins and youtube vids to play.

    I have tried searching both DP,google and the glype forums...how do you you made it secure ie ssl? I noticed some proxies have padlock down the bottom right...any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

    Buy an SSL certificate and set it up on your server. You either need a dedicated server or a dedicated ip.

    I feel pretty stupid now, i thought it was a plugin (after seeing the youtube one) thanks calum!

    I know im gonna sound like columbo here, but theres just one more thing...what difference does it make where you get it?

    Godaddy = £45 per year
    upto 5 domains
    https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/ssl/ssl.asp

    comodo = £99 per yr
    1 domain
    http://www.enterprisessl.com/ssl-certificate-products/ssl/ssl-certificate-elitessl.html

    Big difference in price

    also, would this help my proxy survive in this over-saturated market?

    Nothing really, go with GoDaddy, they are good and I have used them before.

    The price difference is really just down to the issue (certificate authority), depending on the level of "guarantee" you need to offer your visitors.

    I have a link where you can get RapidSSL certificates for $13 a year, just PM me for it (to avoid sounding like we're an affiliate :))
