I'm going to buy a laptop online but that gives me the problem of not being able to see screen quality.

What qualities should I look for in a screen? Is Glossy good or bad? What stats should I look for?

Widescreen, at least 14", and glossy or not depends on where you'll be using it, since you might get an issue of a glare, but then glossy means it would be easier to clean. it's really kind of a lot of things that come into play.
Although Compaq seems to be problematic in many things. I would not recommend that brand.

Since I'm working with photoshop stuff I'll probably get a 17'. I work with big files often and I want to be able to see it all. :p

I work in a room that's 1/2 windows so glare might be a danger.
