Well it looks too much like facebook nothing original.... and it also looks like it runs off of PHPFOX there are millions of these sites, its a big hill to climb running this type of site, can't really say too much about it because it looks just like facebook

 

Thanks for that feedback, well we did think about changing the header and footer to red to actually differentiate ourselves from facebook the thing is the actual design sucks but we were quite limited due to having so many features as soon as we start adding a more complex template the whole site needs rearranging, well lets make it red then..what do you think?

 

Also the site pays you money and has a comprehensive points system...last time I checked facebook didnt pay anyone a cent to use there site...

 

This needs a total re-think and I am sure you would agree. May I suggest Oxwall, its FREE open souce and I have been using it for some time now.

 

I disagree that it needs a total rethink Oxwall does not support anywhere near the features that we have implemented already not even close, and it makes no sense to change what already is working we already having people signing up left right and center the site look is irrelavant in this case as the site is self marketing anyway, and I dont see Oxwall even being a viable option in this case to be honest the best scripts are phpfox and social engine.

 

Also we change the template to a red header and footer, Oxwall wants $20 just for advanced SEO are you kidding me?? phpfox has that all build into the script so why change?...I rest the case and we welcome any futher reviews or feedback on ways we can make it better and not just looks but in features as well.

 

The red color is not looking good. Try some dark colors if you like, just to see how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback do you think it could be that everyone is used to the same colour blue instead of a lighter colour the red is quite easy on the eyes ill look at making it perhaps tones of darker red but after using the site a while im finding its actually quite a nice change from the usual boring old facebook blue...perhaps somemore suggestions on colour changes are very welcome but I do think an overall red is quite a standout from the rest colour..any suggestions anyone?...maybe a shade of red?..

A website is not only about colours.
If I change my homepage colour to blue it won't look like Facebook's.
If I change your homepage color to blue it looks a lot like Facebook's.

I do totally agree that the front page style is the same but the colours are different also user back end style is totally different, we are working on changing the front page to make it less facebookish as you say...thanks for the feedback though we appreciate any useful information or feedback...Also test account is

Well upto you many people could say they can live without there piece of validation from facebook too...not likely...but we are slowly changing the style of the front page over time the point of the page is not the look of it the point of the site is that it pays users to do what they do anyway which is what facebook doesn't do...we could have the most amazing front page with all the pretty colours and it wont make any difference to its internal features or even its usability
