After playing around with the new Google Analytics settings, I am now questioning if there is any effective way of reaching visitors across the entire globe. The Map Overlay in the Google Analytics is quite amazing..Most of my visitors are of course from the United States, but what if I were to somehow market visitors from lets say Russia, or China? I know the entire globe does not read English characters, but would there be any way to reach out to people from outside the US?? I've tried searching for German search engines, and so on..but can't really think of an effective way to do so. If you have a web site where you are targeting visitors across the entire globe, or in many countries other than the US, please share with us your techniques on how you accomplished that.
True. But are there other means of getting visitors globally by not paying for advertising? Example: adding your site to xx countries directory..
one thing I've done as a service to my global visitors is to have translation in all different languages for my site (google translation tools do this quite effectively and automatically). As far as reaching out to new customers I would suggest getting linked on a reputable foreign website. On one of my sites I get a lot of visitors from France simply because a heavily trafficked French blog thankfully gave us a backlink.
