Humans may have an effect, however global warming is being cause by many more factors than just humans. I think it really gets blown out of proportion by the media and is even used as a political platform which doesnt help either

The polar ice caps on Mars are melting at about the same rate as our ice caps. That points to increased solar activity, which has been documented for several years, but conveniently left out of Al Bore's propaganda film--and left out of the global warming debate.

Check out this National Geographic article:
Mars Melt Hints at Solar, Not Human, Cause for Warming, Scientist Says

Also, check out this 2003 article from NASA:
NASA Study Finds Increasing Solar Trend That Can Change Climate
Isn't it interesting that solar activity has been increasing since the 1970s, which coincides nicely with the warming trend data.

Climate change is happening, but the cause is still nothing more than speculation at this point. It may be a completely natural event.

Follow the money. There are billions of dollars being poured in to global warming research right now. Why should scientists be any less greedy than anyone else?

Is Global Warming Reaching Cult Status?

I also think global warming is bull. Global warming may be happening, but I don't believe humans are the reason behind it. We may have SOME factors that play into it, but we are not the sole cause of it. It's something that may happen that is way blown out of proportion in my opinion.

Excellent article, I loved being reminded of the lyrics from London Calling (The Clash) "Ice age is coming". I kinda think if Joe Strummer was still alive he'd be on the "Ice melt is coming" side.
