Al Gore uses a few charts in his presentation which have been picked apart. Global warming actually preceeds CO2 emissions when the graphs are overlayed, rather than following it. This lags suggests that if there is a causation relationship between CO2 and global warming, that global warming causes CO2 more than CO2 causes global warming, if CO2 causes global warming at all.

Also, many climate models used to 'show global warming' ignore precipitation, cloud covers, and weather patterns, which are all major factors in global warming and cooling.

On the other hand, there are some man made chemicals which are not naturally occurring that assault the atmosphere far more than CO2, such as Freon. But... as the old cars that use freon are phased out, and the newer cars that use an environmentally friendly cooling agent are phased in in their place, we won't have Freon to worry about.

And it is not 2500+ scientists worldwide that agree on global warming. It is 2500+ scientists, politicians, and anyone else remotely involved in the process that are listed on the paper. Several of these are scientists who removed themselves from the conference due to objections to the objectivity on the research. Many of these people have requested their names be removed from the paper, as they do not agree with the findings what so ever. They haven't been removed unless they sued to have their names removed from the roll of scientists.

Still no link to the info about sea levels?

    from your link

So you do think there is a global conspircay of evil scientists making up global warming to take away people's SUVs

I was speaking of changing the climate on a global scale. Any idiot can pour chemicals into a lake and make it undrinkable, but what you're implying is that global warming is what is making the lake water undrinkable?

No I was implying coal burning power plants, poisioned most of the lakes in the northeast

Those same people who own those power plants are funding skeptics on global warming

I thought you could read. I forgot who I was talking to:

Yes, thanks for pointing out that wiki summarizes the points in the IPCC report. I didn't actually know what wiki was used for ;)

Let's throw in that antarctica is not warming as expected by the models:

you are a cherry picker, arent you?

temperature and snowfall is dropped over the past 10 years. If it gets too cold, it can't snow, so the snowfall dropped with the temperature.

The warming you noted is caused by the prevailing westerlies

With all our alarmism on global warming, especially considering the antarctica has like 90% of the frozen water on the planet, you'd think we have great record keeping there, right? Wrong.

Simple question Ferret. Is 50 years enough time to get a trend of anything on an environmental scale?

If you cant/wont answer. Look at your desk, and take 1 inch of it. Does that 1 inch tell you what you'll find on the other 6 feet of it? Of course not.

It was asking if people thought the adherence to the concept of global warming was based on actual science, or if it was based more on people's belief in it rather than science.

Excellent point there ... Exxon made 40 BILLION in PROFIT last year and
the other oil companies also, yet YOU are being sold hot air and asked
to calculate your "carbon footprint".
