Now you can translate your blog content into 34 languages by using a free Wordpress plugin, Global Translator! What makes this translation plugin better and unique than the others, is that it doesn’t take your readers away from your blog. Instead all translated pages are kept on your blog and become new content. Which means search engines will index it too! Like that you add a ton of unique content without writing or anything. However this plugin give you the choice to include the translated pages in your sitemap if you want. Read More > Global Translator - Translates Your Blog Into 34 Languages
Thanks for your post. I myself is a Chinese writer / translator who has worked for translation business for many years. I found those online translation tools are not yet mature (such as English to Chinese, for example) so I am still having customers. It is handy to have a blog translate to another language in an eye of blink; however, if one expects to read something that make sense I don't think it's a good idea letting computer do all the translation job. Their problem is they translate the words not the sense, that's why the translation doesn't look great.
This is a great plugin for any wordpress blog. ive been using it for a while now and have had a good increase in traffic because of it.
good thread thank you. have installed the plug in and activated it, put code into single.php file in themes file, but dosent show up, have asked another member for help with code, will report back when issue solved.
It decrease the hosting space because you're enabling the log file on the server. @jesusjonesuk, maybe you didn't insert the code in the right place.
i thought i had made a mistake at first, but i tried all different places in the single.php file, and i still couldnt get it to show. another member is going to have a look at the site, hopefully he can sort it, so i can use the translator on other sites as well
It's not about trying the code in all different places in single.php but you have to put it in the right place so it can work!
Would the content be indexed in each individual language and be accessible by the different nationalities? If so, WOW!
Yes, each translated post will be indexed in search engines after the bots crawl them. And to make it easier it would be better if you allow the plugin to index these pages in your sitemaps. Check in google "site:www.webmasterstown.com" You will find many translated pages already indexed!
