Hey thanks for sharing this big list I have come to know many new sites, nice work done , But I like to say that you have missed one its eZdia (www.ezdia.com) , a search engine which gives you the same results as google and yahoo but with an additional feature of bringing Experts and Explorers at one place while search, and thus leads to accurate and useful knowledge being shared. You may like to have a look at eZdia if not done yet

Advertising, or the amount of it, should never be used as a measure of whether or not these other search engines are significant.

Google is significant in it's advertising revenue .. true .. but Yahoo is significant in US and Canada traffic over Google.

These other search engines are significant to their regions, and serve a purpose, or a value, that quite obviously, Google has been either unable, or unwilling to serve.

The fact that there might be all of these other, presumably, less significant, search engines out there, tells me that Google, so far, has failed, in it's quest to rule the world of search.

As long as there are people in this world that will search for what they want on a local/regional level, Google will remain as just another search engine in a long list of others.
