Hello everybody. At first I want to introduce myself. I am from Uzbekistan, my native language is Russian and I study English as the second language that's why if you find any mistakes don't laugh at me))) I try to develop my own site and to earn money with it. I became interested in SEO recently and when I founded my site I made a lot of mistakes (now I have a little experience that's why I understand my mistakes). I try to promote my site in Russian segment of google. So, could you help me with some questions?? Now I'll try to describe all my problems in details. My site is on Joomla, its age is 4 months. I didn't know that tag <strong> has a big influence for SEO and used it very often. Then I corrected all my articles and used <strong> only with keywords. I didn't know about 301 redirect, and then I did it. I didn't know about duplicates in Joomla and I began to remove them only 2 weeks ago. All my articles are unique. Sitemap and robots.txt are correct, I added my site in Google Webmasters Tools. As a result my site can't be seen in Google at all. Only 22 clicks were to my site during these 4 months. What can you advise me to make my situation better????????????? Also I want to say that I haven't done inner links yet, I didn't add keywords into keywords metatag (because I read that google ignores it), others metatags are filled. And I have one category with 20 articles where there is not text only Flash. Please help me with precious advices (advices from Russian forums often are not useful)...
Hi, I don't use strong that often at all. the problem I think comes more from your lack of content than anything else. For instance 20 articles with no text only flash will probably not bring you traffic from search engine. If the articles are in flash, why not copy them at the bottom of the flash, so that people can read them in flash and if not as plain text? That way search engine will be able to read the page and index them more easily (some search engines parse the flash text, but how many and how good?)
As you have a new website and it will take take time to get good ranking in search engine. For Search engine optimization you can do following things. 1.Add 1 article per day on your website with a keyword density of around 2% and keyword in titile also. 2.Convert your articles in PDF and submit them to PDF sharing sites like docstoc , edocr etc. ( make sure your PDF must have a link back to your main site) 3.Convert your articles into Video and submit to youtube and post your website link in descripton. 4.Convert your articles into PPT and submit them to PPT sharing sites with a link back to your main site. 5.Submit RSS feeds to rss directories. 6.Bookmark all of them . No, no, there is a category with 24 articles, its size is approximately 1500-4000 symbols. All keywords are selected with <strong> keywords are in title in h1 tag. Besides I added pictures with titile and alt (they are made with keywords too). Maybe I'd better show you my site, if you want????? the theme of my site: studying English for people whose first language is Russian. All articles wrote good teachers of English.
Amar, it's very good advise. But I have some questions. 1) I can't add articles every day yet. Because I buy content and as my site doesn't give profit it's impossible for me. I add articles 2 times per week. 2) I think services like pdf sharing are not developed well in Russia, but I will try to find out more information about it 3) converting my articles to video is an expensive process too((( 4) ppt, do you mean presentations in Power Point???
1. You must have to add articles regularly. Just make a budget for your content. 2. PDF sharing is very effective and gives your site a sold baklinks. 3. You can convert your articles into video by your self through windows movie maker which I hope is already reside on your computer. 4. PPT , means power point presentation. above all you have to create regular back links for your website .
