Do you guys feel safe giving your SSN to CJ? I'm always scared of giving it out. ID theft is my biggest fear..

I'm not too afraid of it, they're such a big/reputable service that there probably is nothing to be worried about.

I'm more worried that you live in NJ and are a rangers fan :)

Any company thats paying you asks for your SSN, because IRS demands it for legal tax reasons.

If you have a corporation you could give them your tax id instead...

I've used CJ for a long time, I've never had a problem with my identity being stolen, they're also a big company used by many DP users and represent a lot of big companies.

The company you work for, credit card companies, banks, stock brokers, etc. have your SNN. Why do you worry about CJ which has been in business for years and have major companies as its client.

Yeah I understand when you need to get paid and everything you need to file taxes and they need that number. I don't have a problem with that. I wish I could just test out CJ without giving the number just in case I don't like their service.

I hate giving out my SSN, that was one of my main concerns to be honest with you.

But if someone has your Address & name, you're probably screwed anyways :p

    And that's easy to get.
& to be honest, it's almost impossible to protect your identity these days.

What if your job has your file and decides to copy it and fax it somewhere? What if they throw it away without shredding it, some identity thief comes, digs through the trash, and steals your life.

You should be safe with commission junction, as it's like giving your information to a job; to be honest. & at the same time, you should still be concerned giving your information out to anyone, ya know?

CJ is a solid company. There is little fear of giving out your SSN. Though we use EIN it's just as safe.
