Ok here is the scenario. I develop a free website and use clipart from a website which requires a link back to their website. Now, what I do not understand is that if I give away a free template am I supposed to include a link so that the person who receives my template sees the link or am I supposed to include the link in the template itself so that anyone who views the template sees the link.

The reason this makes a difference is because in the first case only the person using my template needs to see the link and he can use the template without having to keep the links to the photos. And in the second instance he will have to keep the link. So which one does the license require?

I think you're supposed to include a link with the template, but not in the template itself. That's the way I did it when I was into that sort of stuff.
