Give us a Digg-type interface option!

Can we have a Digg-type interface where the posts are mirrored (a bit like that L33t forum Nintendo set up one time) but they can be upmodded or downmodded within the interface, depending on quality? Maybe even pushes or pulls the actual forum results if a throttle of some sort is implemented.

I'm sure this is something Shawn would enjoy doing. As usual, I'm ahead of my time, I know.

No, I don't want to Digg the posts.

I want a custom built interface that works a bit like http://forums.digitalpoint.com/spy.php but allows the crap to be buried via a voting system (the way Digg works). So if someone begins a new thread, it is submitted to a DP interface, categorised under the main forum topics, e.g. Google, B/S/T, etc, where us users can vote it up or down depending on how interesting it is.

The idea is to enhance the forum by providing another means of interacting.

 

So basically a means to bump thread to the top ?

 

Only in the digg-type interface and only if it gets enough votes - one member, one vote.

 

Thats however is gonaa take lots of coding and lots of money to be spent, will shawn do it though ?

thats a pretty good idea, if someone makes a plugin for it for vB there would be a mad dash for it...
