Hello, I would like to rank certain keywords(more than one), however I can't buy a domain targetting the specific keyword (due legal questions ). So I thoght to buy a domain, install wordpress, and make posts targetting the keywords ... Something like this: www.mydomain.com/keyword1 www.mydomain.com/keyword2 etc My question is how can SEO the website ... On other websites I make backlinks and write articles to rank the www.mydomain.com, but now I need to rank www.mydomain.com/keyword1, can I use the same techniques like I used to do with www.mydomain.com, but instead of www.mydomain.com use www.mydomain.com/keyword1? Should I optimizate the mydomain.com for any specific keyword? will this help to rank www.mydomain.com/keyword1? I hope that you understand my questions Thank you

For example I want to promote fifa, battlefield, need for speed etc. However I can't buy a domain like www.myblogabouteagames.com (because the mark). So I buy a domain like myfavgamesblog.com and make posts about fifa, battlefield, need for speed, etc (this way the url will be www.myfavgamesblog.com/fifa or nfs and i will not have problems with marks, right?) however i promote my main domain for what? what keywords? i can't have eagames on domain ...
if you are trying to obtain search traffic to a certain page using keywords (mydomain/keyword1) then your domain can be anything you like. i bet if you searched for the keywords you want you would see that those websites don't have the keywords in their domain. you would be best off trying to think of a clever game related domain name that people will remember. gamerflop? lol hope that spearks some ideas. just make sure you create backlinks to that certain page using your target keywords in the anchor text e.g. <a href="url">Keyword1</a>
