Hosting is very much saturated business and I am planning to start it.
I am thinking of starting hosting company in India.
Which provides services mainly to Indians client only.

Plz give me your opinion, Is it worth trying ?
If so, How much I need to pay for Bandwidth per month ? Which service provide i can go for ?
I dont have much knowledge on hosting business.
    Is it worth trying ?

As you say, it's a very competitive business.

I would suggest that, unless you already have a lot of knowledge in this area, you're going to need to commit a lot of time to research and then to sales and marketing.

Hosting companies in India are very less. You can grab the market if you provide cheap hosting and if you invest a lot in advertising....!
Since you are new to hosting business, i advice you to first try reseller hosting before going for your own.....! :) You have to spend a lot of money and time .....be prepare for it....!;)

I fully agree with mobilego's suggestion of becoming a reseller first.

Since you have zero knowledge on hosting, it would be wise to become a reseller and get first hand knowledge and experience of this business before committing a lot of capital yourself.

Expose yourself to all the nitty-gritty of this business and see for yourself if you are game for it! :)

Getting into a hosting business is not easy.. people are ready to spend money if you are established and provide secure hosting.. I suggest to be a reseller. People will judge you based on you knowledge base (KB)
From my experience, what i learned is cheap hosting is always cheap. Once i tried neocpanel (in DP) who offered cheap reseller hosting and was short lived.. Thus wasted my money and time.
I live in india and never tried any indian hosting and used to suggest established hosting providers like hostgator to my clients.. No head aches with downtime and security :)
And can u suggest any reliable ISP in India? :D

I will say that buy a reseller hosting plan from Hostgator and then start your site and it will run superbly if you advertise it well. :)
As there are very less people who know about these hosting sites.

That's quite a competitive niche, though

Yeah... hosting biz is very very competitive..... users are looking for best options ie. cheapest cost with best service. In reality both factors are moving in same direction but if you could make it in opposite direction, you are game my friend...:)
