As per my advice, You should go for google because Day by Day SEO will updated and in book, you will get limited information so for SEO you should go to google. Google is best option for you...

Books are tough for SEO - it's constantly changing. Literally every month the book is 'rewritten'. I'd stick with the popular online english sources:
    http://moz.com/blog
    http://searchenginewatch.com/
    http://www.seochat.com/
    http://searchengineland.com/

PM if you have any questions.
    Good luck with the book!

You should search for SEO tutorials online as those may be much worthful and comprehensive compared to the topics covered in the old fashioned SEO books. You can also check for the video tutorials too that the books generally can't provide you with.
