If you had enough man power to back it up and make sure there is no way to defeat the 'virtual' technology it could be a great idea. 'shock' oh my god what's this, I must be 'supporting' Giuliani
It reminds me of "Star Wars" defense systems. Does anyone knows how much money was wasted on that one? My guess will be that it is already decided who the suppliers of these "virtual" fence are going to be and by the time it ends, American tax payers will be couple of billions poorer.
This is true, it could very well be a total waste. If it was doable though, a decent plan it 'could' be something to look into.
Immigration law is not being enforced. Simple enforcement and resources could clean this up substantially, as well as a diplomatic commitment from the Mexicans to control their side of the border as well. I like Dr. Paul's plan to de-incentivize illegal immigration, by not allowing illegals to jump in the front of the immigration line, deny free taxpayer funded healthcare and education etc. If people want to immigrate, they should do so legally, and then the path would be open. Right now, we're subsidizing everyone in the 3rd world with the wealth of Americans, and then the government claims it does not have enough money to provide the very services we thought we were paying for.
I like those points as well, I am simply open to even further improvements for keeping the border safe. Main reason I wont vote for McCain, his views on immigration. Definitely get rid of tax payer paid benefits to illegals, start enforcing the laws, force Mexico to control their side, but if we could further control the border through some form of intelligence call it 'fenceless' if you will I'm all for it
I have one thing to say about Rudy. His fence is probably virtual, but it's likely vaporware. He had a lousy record on immigration in NY and like most neocons, sees the only way out of the financial mess we're in, without giving the power of the money back to the people, is to establish a NAU, with a new currency. He was shocked in the debates (split screen) when Dr. Paul started talking about RealID and the NAFTA Super Highway.
