Girlfriend or Luxury?

Okay, my dilemma here.

I am currently living with my girlfriend and I make a full time income from marketing online. Now, here is the issue I am facing. I make $135,000 (approx) a year from what I do and I spend most of the day on the computer making that money. Now, my girlfriend says she wants to spend more time out together and I should get off the computer for a while (bare in mind she has a lot of time as she is unemployed).

Now, after 2 years of trying to make that go away so we can live happily with a lot of money, she has come to an ultimatum. Either I get of the computer and get some regular crappy job, or she leaves.

What do you guys/gals think? Leave her and keep my earnings high with just me there and make the most out of my cash, or change profession and go for less money and stay with her? I'm tied in the middle because I lose either way (although leaving her would be a load off my back).

no girl is worth taking a huge pay cut AND becoming a 9-5 slave at the same time.

it isn't your job to amuse her bored and unemployed self, tell her to go get a new hobby.

 

You can always work from 9-5 every day on your computer and a few extra hours during the weekend(that should be usually saturday),that way you'll keep your girlfriend and have some cash in your pocket.

Don't choose the normal 9-5 job...it is so frustrating.

The best option here is to use your time smartly and talk to her that only money can save our relationship last.

 

If she doesn't support you in every way than she shouldn't deserve you.
You need to support eachother, she can be glad that you are making money since she is unemployed.

 

Talk to her about this and let her make the decision - either leave or stay

Looks like most of you guys think screw her would be the best option. Well, I think I'm starting to agree, she just spent $1,800 on my credit card without telling me or asking me, I only found out when I got the statement. Ok...

Money does not bring happiness, I'd rather be dirt poor with nothing with the one I love than live in a mansion with all the riches in the world

I totally agree with the above posters, relationships are about compremising. If she has been unemployed for most of the entire duration of your relationship I dont know if she has any comprehension of the hard work thats needed in order to generate life sustaining revanue.

Allot of younger girls are like that, when they have their parents looking after them for so long, then immediatly jump into a LOTR.

My philosophy that business comes first, when you are sub 40, its important that you have your finances in order, in order to live well, take vacations, own a home, a car and all of the nice things in life. Running your own business from home (i do as well) is HARD WORK, there is no one really to pick up the slack.

I would say, if she gave you this decission to make, I would ditch her, its hard to ditch a girl you have been with for so long, but in essence you need to find someone who accepts you for you. You have to find someone that compliments you. She does not seem to compliment you.

 

Defenitly spending 1800$ she is stupid and a materialist hore you are stupid if you stand up this crap ...

Man,money are made to be spent.Money always come and go but your life is just..,going so,i donno just do as you feel like but dont forget to live from time to time,

 

Being unemployed herself, she has no say about your current employment status, or how your money should be spent. She sounds like a spoiled princess (avoid those types). Find yourself a woman who would support you in doing what you like, not force you into a 9/5 corporate slavery! There are billions in the world who would be ecstatic to be with a man making 100K+ a year.

Having a job that you like is priceless. Women are plenty. Ditch the princess, keep the job.
