has any tried Gigablast. I came across it recently and it produces some great results - particularly stuff that is fresh - it found some of my articles that had only been published yesterday - very impressive

    you never tried it.

too me, google, yahoo, and miva are still the best, since they get so many traffic, that i dont think there's any need to use other ones, if your successful and these three.

    take care

For me it's google all the way. They do one thing... and they do it well. Search!

I don't agree that google always does searching the best. I often turn to other search engines for serious searches - particularly an academic one - which google seems to lack - its a popularist engine

I find for academic searches a variety is better - alta vista - some university search engines, etc.

Google is a mainstream search engine, but if I was working at NASA or MIT I probably wouldn't be wanting to use it.

I don't understand this attitude that google is the best, so you just that. Why not use them all? Not like you have to pay to get in them and they bring targeted traffic. Granted it is often less than google, but targeted traffic, is still targeted traffic.

Plus the big added bonus is that it's easier to dominate more popular searches because there is less people to compete against.

On second thought. Stay away from the smalls ones. Stay with google. I'll just get all the traffic from them and google.
