I bought this site in late April, did some tweaks, and haven't done anything with it for the last 4 months, so I'm putting it up for sale.

I've applied for a spot at big-boards.com, they are currently reviewing the application. The forum itself is pretty quiet, since I haven't done anything with it at all for the last 4 months.

Ultimately, the new owner can take 2 routes:

    1. Sit and do nothing and continue earning $1k/mo or more as the site slowly grows like it has for the last 4 months.

    2. Get the forum back up and running, get some content editors to inject more life into it, add some new features. You'll have to spend time on the site, but you'll probably be able to triple revenue pretty fast.

Either way, I have priced this site based on current revenue. The added potential of this site is something the new buyer should simply take into account.

The website earns money from ringtones (PrimaryAds) and selling co-op links. For ringtones, I used to use AzoogleAds, and was making approx. $500/mo. I switched to PrimaryAds and their FlyCell offer, and the revenue jumped up to $800/mo.

PrimaryAds stats for august (1st to 31st) are:

    Clicks: 2026
    Revenue: $800.00
    EPC: $0.39

The site also has a good pagerank and lots of pages in google, so it has a good co-op weight in the digitalpoint co-op system (the current weight is 36,8k. The weight varies between 35k and 42k, and on the last update it went up). You can either sell the adspace to someone on DP (it would be worth $300+/mo) or you can use it to promote your own sites (like I am doing).

This site used to have adsense up by the previous owner. I removed it when I took charge in late April, but you can put it back and it will probably generate additional $50 - $100/mo. You can also add TribalFusion or ValueClick ads on it, and since there are a lot of pageviews, you'll make even more money. I just really haven't been bothered as this is not the site I dedicate my working day to.

Why such a high monthly multiple for the BIN?
I bought this site at a BIN that was a 26x monthly multiple. Please don't whine, you have to take some risks to win.

Additionally, this site has a clear upwards trend. Income is now 3.5 times higher than 4 months ago, and it becomes higher every consecutive month. I've already made $96 in the first 2 days of September, so this month is probably gonna be a record as well.

Can I see your Google Analytics?
There really isn't much to see. During May, the site averaged 850 uniques a day, during June it average about 900 uniques per day, and during July and August it averaged a bit over 1000 uniques per day. It's a pretty flat graph with a small upwards turn.

Access to Google Analytics will be given to those who wish to enter a negotiations stage. I don't want to post up any public screenshots.

    What is this co-op system?
    http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network/
It's a free system that allows others to place links on your site and you to place links on other sites using an automatic system. Just how many links you get on others sites depends on how much weight your site has. The co-op system is one of the easiest ways to start ranking high in Google or jumpstart your site. It's a system that works, and I owe a lot of my $10k/mo income to co-op.

You can simply take over my ffrepublic.com account so you don't have to do anything yourself.

    Preferred method of payment?
I prefer wire transfer. I have sold lots of sites here, and everyone's paid me through wire transfer, with transactions ranging from $7k to $25k. If you want to go the safer route, we can do escrow.com, but I ask you to pay the fees then.

    Starting bid: $8k
    BIN: $18k

    Pending sale on sitepoint.

Can't believe this got 1 reply and no PMs here. It was BIN'd on SP in less than 9 hours. DP has really dropped the ball.

Haha. You really think it's DP that dropped the ball because you didn't get a bid of $18,000 or higher within 24 hours?

Not many Dp'ers have 18k laying around.

Good luck with your sitepoint sale. Be careful with transactions there. Sitepoint is known as a breeding ground for scammers.
