    When selling, I think people generally prefer all of the money right now, rather than payments over time. What that does, really, is turn the seller into a bank, and the buyer is taking a loan. I presume that with these terms you make some sort of "interest" payments, or in some manner pay a larger amount over time than you would have if it were a one time payment.

    I have clearly answered the question of why I am selling. I am not in a pinch for money. I am in a pinch for time. I have several other large forums, one with 46k members, one with 27k members, and one with 3k members. I also run about 25 other sites. I am one man and need to free up room. I also sold another forum just 2 weeks ago - globalpaw.com. I do have stats going back further as well (adsense, burst, etc). The extreme stats links goes back to 2002. ;)

    I have just received the first official bid at Sitepoint.com for $50,000

    I also have several other serious bites and some interesting offers.

    Keep the questions coming, I am happy to answer them...:)

    After spending 7+ hours with my CPA on Monday, and the whole day yesterday thinking things through, I am withdrawing the site for sale. It seems that it wouldn't be the best idea for me to sell the site now, right before the end of the year. To the 4 users that have made bids, I am sorry and will be happy to further communicate with you through PM. To those that had interest, this site may very well be listed for sale come 2006.
