I need to have 5-7 articles written, together with the same amount press-releases. i was thinking about 4$ for a 400-500 word article if you only write articles, thats fine, contact me anyway, and let me hear what you can do.
$4 for an article? Are you crazy! I write articles for people all the time, I put real research time and effort into them, which translates into at least three hours of work. What a cheapy you are.
It'll be 7.50$ for a 500 word article ! Copyscape/google tested! Can be "keyword" rich ! Well researched and implemented ... If the amount of articles required crosses 5, it'll be 6$ per article! Abhishek
It's true that $4 is ridiculously low, especially to someone who writes professionally. But it seems silly to complain about it. Just don't take the position. I'm a professional writer myself. I take on assignments as low as $15-20 per article if it's short, for a very small niche site, and a topic I enjoy. But most of the time when I sell articles, I make about $250 a piece, and that's only for non-exclusive online rights. On that same note, I also write press releases (between $25 and $75 depending on if I'm running a special that month). Most PR professionals (I run a PR firm as my primary business) charge between $199 and $500 just for the writing. But I'm sure there are plenty of people that are willing to do it for even less than I am. One of the hardest things about taking on any kind of freelance work is knowing that someone someplace else is very likely going to charge a lot less than you, because it's more of a hobby or side project to them, and not their livelihood. It's simple supply and demand unfortunately, so as long as people are willing to accept $4 for an article, people are going to ask them to. It's not worth the hassle to complain about it. Believe me, if you keep looking, you'll certainly find plenty of clients who are willing to pay what your writing is really worth. Jenn
