    Hi,
I am wondering if any of you know a way to do the following.
A site I write for is a shopping comparison site. Basically customer clicks on a merchants link and when they leave the site that earns him up to about 30 cents.
Now, keywords in his category are around the 10cents mark, with some as high as 20 cents just to get in.

How would you go about managing and tracking a CPC campaign?

If you have someone click through to your site from google, costing you 10 cents, then they search the site and click to visit a merchant, for 30 cents, well thats good margin.
Obviously you can have a high marketing budget, with that sort of ROI.
Trouble is, how does google analytics track that user leaving to a merchant - therefore earning the webmaster money - versus just going back to google or closing the browser - an expensive windown shopper?

How do other sites out there do it?

I would liken the above scenario to content sites out there, such as an article site. The article site gets revenue from people clicking on his adds, and gets people into his site by paying gg or other for that clickthrough traffic.

How does one manage to track this activity fully?

    Any help is appreciated.
