Getting your site listed on Google within days?

I am not looking for some magical way to get search engine results like some seem to ask for. I believe that my website will be very useful and have good content for our visitors, and over time, with proper SEO, inbound links, etc., my niche site will rise high in the search engines.

However... I am asking all of you experts out there for quick help on something I am unfamiliar with, and in this case, I AM looking for quick results. My website will find leads for service providers, and vice versa. I will also have lots of content and help topics regarding the industry of the service. What are free methods that will get my site listed in the search engines within a week? Also, does the link here on DP count as a high Page Rank link? Thanks for your help.

If your site is going to be as you said than you don't have to worry about listing on google. I know that from my own experience. I have a couple of sites. Sites with good content are listed very fast (just 3 to 7 days) on google while site with not so good content isn't listed at all.
So my advice is make a good site and you don't have to worry about google, just submit it to search engines and directories and keep updating content.

If you want to get indexed quickly, just point some links to it from other sites that decente PR. That should get google to stop by within a week.

If I am to get a high PR page to link to me, does the content have to be similar, or is the Page Rank all that matters (remember, we are talking about the original listing on Google, not increasing the ranking once listed)? To increase my ranking, I will look to be linked by pages with similar content, but in the beginning, does that matter? Thanks.

If you want to get listed to G in a week. Get backlinks from high pr site, because normally high pr means the site has quality and maybe high number of backlinks that gave high probability of getting the site getting crawl. You can also put your link on your sig on forums so that gbot can crawl your site.

If its only indexing you want to achieve then its not necessary that you have to get links from related websites.

Thanks, that helps. I am first looking for quick indexing. Then, over time, the content and the related links should boost my SE ranking. I am fairly confident that with my niche (it's local, so not much competition from national competitors), I can be number one in most SE's.

Will a link to my website in my signature count as a high PR link? Knowing the popularity and credibility of DP, I would think that that would help in early indexing...

Updating content too many times will help - particularly if your site is a discussion board with lots of traffic or a news site

Yep, I concur that getting links from some sites with decent PR can have you listed in Google within days!

Ultimately you will have sites within your own network, otherwise directory links work!
