Getting Website In Local Business Results

I can rank my website well in the SERPs, but can someone explain how to get my website to appear in the local business results with the map? I understand that I have to submit my info to Google local, but how does Google determine which 3 or 4 websites will appear on page one when a search is conducted?

I think its all depend upon pagerank and it depends on many factors
