It seems all the best link/blog resources cater for mostly the american market. I am trying to find ways to attract UK traffic and develop relevant inbound links. Can anyone recommend some good UK resources. I looked at text-link-ads but again not great for UK needs. I can write articles but I have not found a UK article resource to submit to. Any advice appreciated.
Hi EuroGuy, The best way to attract Uk traffic to your website is not to submit to link directories as google does not rate them too much anymore and I doubt they would ever bring you good quality relevant traffic, as there are too many web directories out there, and the only people that visit them are other webmasters. The best way to drive relevant traffic to your UK site is to exchange, or get links from related finance websites in the UK. Or get links from UK websites where you think your target audience may visit. The best way is to visit these sites and send emails to the website owners asking them to link to your site. You could try creating link bait on your site, i.e. some breaking news related to your niche or offer something for free, or maybe a competition and let people know about it. Cheers Mark
Most of this is not true. While google demoted directories and made them less valuable for PR. Submitting to directories in the relevant category especially niche or regional directories can benefit your search engine rankings. Its true some directories do not bring you much traffic but the traffic they do bring why would this not be relevant? There are no forced clicks or incentives to click. If someone clicks your link its because they are genuinely interested in your site. Quality directories will bring good traffic and help your serps.
