If think a lot of people are asking this question themself every day. Some know the answer maybe but i don't think it was easy for them to find the solution. So all I can say is try different ways to get traffic. Personally I don't think their is an easy and fast way to get a lot of traffic. But the easiest way in my opinion is to get organic traffic because it isn't that hard to get some good traffic from the search engines.
1. Submit your site to as many search engines and/or web directories as possible. 2. Include the link to your site in as many places as possible, e.g. signature of all of the forums that you are member of. 3. Participate in banner exchange programs. There are many freely available. 4. Most importantly, create an aesthetically appealing and interesting site that works ! Good luck.
#1 - social media, if you aren't afraid of self promotion and #2 - Getting on TechCrunch if you run a good site with a new service or whatever
Link Exchanges with other people will get you daily traffic. Also if you write articles on your website focusing on specific keywords then you are on a good start.
I think organic traffic is the best way forward for everyone. There are other ways you can get targetted traffic to your site such as exchanging links and banners with sites in your industry but there really isn't a fast and cheap way at all. Fast and expensive yes but not fast and cheap.
social media or bookmarking are those sites that rely on "buzz" like digg, stumble, reggedit, spurl and so on./ TechCrunch is a massive blog full of nerd authors.
Thanks. I might fit in at TechCrunch! HAHA! Also could someone tell me what is organic traffic? Another one I'm seeing is viral traffic. Don't know what that is either. As you can probably tell, I have a lot to learn.
I think the best way to do that is through organic traffic gained by adding quality unique content related to to your subject on your website - it should get indexed and you should get quality free traffic through the search engines as a result - good luck!
Build links on high traffic and high PR sites. This will not only drive direct traffic, but will generate good SERPs, for long-term organic traffic.
Social media = Digg, reddit, etc. Web 2.0 stuff. TechCrunch = site that covers new web 2.0 sites and services. Really popular and has over 200k readers.
Alot of ways to drive traffic to sites some for money others not advertise, banners ppc targeted leads alot of purchasing is seasonal.
