Well I have a landing page so I can hopefully try to get some customers to pre-order Madden 09. So I was wondering what are some ways and ideas I can get traffic coming to the site. Converting traffic would help greatly. I have advertised a little bit in forums. What other ideas would you have?
SEO. Go for something like "Pre order madden 09" and the like. I have no idea what the traffic would be like but for me SEO would always be the #1 way to go. Free traffic is always best. And then of course you can use Adsense and other PPC, just gotta figure out what converts.
I take it you are selling Madden NFL? If that is the case two of the most highly traffic generating related keywords are "NFL" and "Football" I have found that you can get either keywords for as little as $0.03 CPC. But getting links on related football sites would be a great SEO boost.
@Ram: Do some adwords, man. Just do straight 'preorder madden' and get traffic that is LOOKING for madden preorders - when they see the sponsored link, they will know 'yep, thats the official place I can trust to give my money to before I get a item" Basically - pay to be the #1 result for people searching for a place to spend their money. Although, I didn't go look to see if this is ridiculously expensive by now If it is, post about it other places. One biggie would be to offer incentive "tell a friend and we'll give u ______" "do this HERE with US instead of the others AND tell 3 friends, and we'll let you _________" It doesn't have to be expensive stuff, I doubt you are making very much per unit anyway, so just find a way to make them feel like they did something good or like they are part of a closed-group. Make it true, just don't kill your profit.
