Go for the free SEO methods. But i would encourage you try to exchange link with others which is free and it is quality that exchange link from your competitor or related business line. You can use $50 on Google Ad words, i know it not enough but you can set the the limit.

i would say open up a cell phone blog on your site and pay the $50 a month in content to post cell phone news, reviews, opinions, stuff about android, blackberry, iphone, review apps (link to apple appstore for sales) and review every single phone in your inventory in the articles link 'buy the apple iphone' and explain 'we here at cell phone store offer the apple iphone for xxx amount' write awesome news, reviews ect... get this posted on social media sites, twitter, facebook ect... all the fresh content will help your google rankings also do unboxing videos and submit them to youtube, everyone loves unboxing videos all you need to do is film yourself unboxing a phone, show the potential customers what there getting, put the spec of the phone and the price and a link to buy in the description, submit this to youtube, metacafe and all the other video sites and really make a name for yourself, get your self on facebook and blast yourself all over twitter, get a name foryourself and you'll go a long way, good luck .... also open an affiliate program, if you need help i work with a company who provide a free affiliate program platform for your e-commerce store
The best way to improve traffic to eCommerce sites is through shopping comparisons sites and Google adwords. If using Google adwords, use the product ads version to show ads with pictures. This works best for products and it prevents clicks from people that are looking for things other than what you are selling.
