When I do a search on Google I look most of the times only at the first 10 results so I wonder if you get any serious traffic if you are ranked lower than place 10 ....
One of the only things I actually like about Google is their "search within results" option, so... ...if your site is not in the top 10 the first time, you get a second chance. ````````` Lower rankings get some traffic, but obviously #1 and #2 are the real big money makers.
the main goal here is to get atleast at the first 5 pages.... but, if you don't make it.. try changing your key words and ask some professionals or a webmasters. ask for some tips or something..
Why would the first 5 pages help? The only one that gets major traffic is the first page. The second one might also get some. After that.. you barely get any
If you are not in top 10 then check your main keyword KEI, Competitors in google double check your keyword, target 1st around 1to 4 KEI keyword for beginning when you generate some traffic then put your main keyword in driver site. Ya but don't forget get nice link from authority website, articles pr and comments.
Why then all the big interest for SEO if only the first 3 get the most amount of natural traffic ????!!!!!
Some of my sites do receive traffic even though they only appear on the 2nd and 3rd pages for some keywords. I can't say that it is "serious" traffic but every visitor that comes to the site is a potential customer and just as good as any other visitor. That said, I find that if my site appears later in the results and people click to come and visit, temporarily, it gives those pages a boost for those keywords. I always wondered if Google uses this type of behavior to re-rank pages since someone searching past the first stage for a result might indicate that the current ranking of sites is not as good as it should be. This would be an indirect way of Google using search engine users to evaluate and improve its automatic ranking system. Cheers! PS: Just to clarify, my evidence is anecdotal but I have noticed this behavior in more than one cases.
well you can check on google webmaster central on the top queries section. there are two part in the section. the left one is your keyword phrases ranking whereas the right part the one that get clicked.
Most of the time, people don't open the second search results page. Almost all traffic goes to the first 10 results
I can just say work on your SEO every day and you should know that competitors never sleep. If you want to get traffic you have to come you in the first 2 pages.
I get some traffic from my lower ranking terms but moslty you will only get traffic from terms that hit the first page which of course is the top 10..
generating traffic is not solely base on SERP always, social bookmarking sites will help to gather traffic as well...
Well i suppose theres only 2 options to choose from then to get in those 10 ten spots 1. PPC (pay per click) 2. Organic Links thx malcolm
