I had about 30 hits today from us.f307.mail.yahoo.com, what does this mean? It appears to be one of yahoo's mail servers. Was someone linking my site in an email?
Some large Email list sent either a link to your site or a hot-linked image out to a fair number of people - obviousely the later will generate a LOT more inbounds. I've seen this a number of times - the most noteable example was when Kim Komando talked about my web site on her "8 million person Email list" ... while I seriousely, seriousely doubt it is anywhere near that large, I did see a fair number of inbounds. And you'll see various ####.mail.yahoo.com show up in the inbound logs.
Happened to me once too, later when i checked my logs it was a flash file which was being spread thru mail, and was eating up my bandwidth .. , had to change the location then.
I get the same thing each time I publish an article. Have assumed the article has been emailed out to a list. Regards Brian
