Anybody in the screensaver making.. I want to make some screensavers upload to software directory. Is that a good way to get traffic? Also how do i moneytize my screensavers?
For monetizing screensavers, what I've considered doing is to create screensavers that target a particular interest group (anime for example), and then place a link graphic on each screensaver, which links to a site that I'm an affiliate of which sells products relating to that interest group. The link should be a domain name that masks the affiliate link by using masked URL Forwarding. The domain name used should be short, memorable, and easy for the user to type in. You can also use this method to monetize wallpapers and other graphical media.
