Hello everyone, I've been fighting with a few websites now a days for the keyword 'virtual pet', and I'm currently on page 3 and I want to get on page 1. What should I do? I've the following methods: -Affiliating with related websites. -Signature promotion -Unique Content. I want to do the following, change my descriptions so they include keywords instead of a real 'description', which is like a few sentences. What would you guys do?
Tidy up your alt tags and your titles "Virtual pet, myspace games, myspace game, myspace dolls, myspace graphics, virtual pet list" as an alt tag does not do anything Concentrate on virtual pets not virtual pet as it gets 10 times more traffic [unless that is what you want to do] Put down some real content as descriptions of the "pets'
Your descriptions can still be real descriptions, just throw the "virtual pets" phrase in their a couple of times. No need to go overboard as they are short descriptions so you don't want to spam.
Better Now lift your text content up the page to just under the ads - intersperse it with your images, and ads - using contextural is good for money here, with that relevant text, and probably move the affiliates to below [read after] the text. So - when the SE arrives [it sees the image alt as text] it reads the title [and the description] the image alt, the navigation [which is why you keep it relevant with the links, affiliates are not] and then the text in the next cell, middle, and then the text in the right hand cell before going.
1)Some search engines penalize web sites if the search terms of the Meta Keywords tag don't appear in the body text of the web page. The search term "application/xhtml+xml;" of your Meta Keywords tag doesn't seem to be mentioned in the body text of your web page. You should either remove this search term from your Meta Keywords tag, or add the search term to the body text of your web page. 2)You've placed the search term "Virtual Pets" at character position 20 of the document title. You should move it more to the top. Move it at most to character position 13. 3)You use the search term "Virtual" 3 times but you should use it at most once in the document title.
