I agree ppc and buying solo ads , etc is fast and can yield some great results. If you're looking for a fast start then try Youtube as well
if you want to get targeted traffic than you can use different social media networks and also seo.now a days youtube video is used to get traffic because people like to watch video instead of reading article.so you can also use youtube for getting targeted traffic.
Solo ad is the good source for targeted traffic. Another way you can apply, if you can target different groups of your niche, then it can be another good source.
remember content is king always, google loves fresh content .I never did seo on on my blogs but it still receives much traffic from its content.Post keyword rich content and after every update of blog ,ping the blog.It will get indexed quickly and get much traffic
I think here are some techniques: 1. Facebook ads - this is very poweful in targeted visitors, because they provide geolocation (not just country, but city also!), interests, gender, my personal thought facebook is great way to get targeted traffic beyond SEO. 2. Twitter - except facebook, this microblogging site also can provide you some. all you have to do is creating a account based on your own niche, start tweeting, follow people that might follow you back, and as the time goes, your popularity increases and they are all targeted on your niche 3. Do Google adwords - you must be very familiar with this, just search posts in this forum, there are so many useful ones regarding google adwords 4. Buy links/banner from sites that have similarity with your site, especially based on niche. For me, the 2 first point called social media marketing is the most great way, as people is not into Search engine nowadays, but social media has been the hit likely the fist right at stomach Hope this will be helpful Regards S

I agree with imgtube. With social sites, you don't need SEO anymore. Even in my country said, SEO is mostly dead. So prepare yourself to this big transition, I think.

Hey sniper, I'm glad you like my tips I really appreciate your recognition of my work and it really motivates me to keep it going!
I think that's because if you have no experience the free sources are a safer way to start until you have got some experience (and hopefully some funds to get started with advertising!)
You can try out Google Adwords apart from all these things that have been mentioned over here. Make sure that most of these can create big spam if not done strategically. Last but not least, nothing is easy on this planet.
I've never liked paying for traffic. I've tried it a few times, but never with a good result. So now I stick to free targeted traffic through different channels: - Article marketing. I've been posting articles to article directories and made sure that they were interesting enough for people to click on my link in the resource box and go to my site. - Email marketing. Nobody seems to mention this one, but it's a huge! Start building a list as soon as you can, and you have targeted traffic on-demand. - YouTube marketing. I don't do this enough, but it's obvious that it works. - Forum marketing. Works, too, but I'm not doing it enough. - Blog posts. Same thing as above.
