I have just begun a forum. Right now it is only me and my friend that are posting. We haven't even posted that much. I am still tweaking some things on the site such as the terms of service and different sections. Basically playing with the feel. I have asked friends to begin posting on their, but they don't seem to be to keen on doing so. Although I have thought about it and this might be good as it might be too much of a clique and nobody will want to post. I'm just wondering the best way to get started getting members. I know that contests and money is the best way to get started, but money is kind of tight right now. If I do run a contest I would like to make sure that it will benefit the forum on a long term basis. Figured I would ask here for any ideas, or things that other people have tried. My forum is at forum.livingeek.com. Like I said I am only setting it up and am just about 50% done with all the changes I want to make. Thanks for any help, and sorry about it being long. This (http://www.adminfuel.com/article-z-forum-t613.html) will provide you with an excellent list of things to work on
No problem. You can find more articles there, that may also help you (some are errored and look strange after a conversion, but those will be back up soon )
