Well, I am wondering how I would get started. Any tips or hints on things? I don't really get how to do these things. I made an account already, and I just don't get how it works. By the way, do the advertisers pay CJ to pay you? I don't really get the process. Sorry to sound stupid, but I just want to learn. Thank you very much if you guys do decide to help out.
You will be selling on a commission basis. Go to your start page and you'll see a link to CJU - Commission Junction University. There are some excellent tutorials and videos that should get you started and will teach you the basics. Doug
Stay with us. There are tons of valuable information you'd learn from DP under this board. You may start using html codes provided by CJ and embed them into your web pages.
Yes. Kinda. When somebody clicks a banner or link on your site, and then buys something from the advertiser (or signs up for a trial or whatever), you'll get a percentage of the sale. This goes into your CJ account, and then eventually CJ will send you a cheque (or direct deposit).
That's the spirit! Just don't get disappointed if you don't start making bucketloads straight away. Personally it took me 18 months (from knowing nothing about webmastering) to really see any tangible results. You may be more of a natural talent than me..!
Take your time starting out. my policy has always been.. if I wouldn't buy it myself, or at least consider buying it from their landing page, don't it. People know junk products and there are plenty on CJ and every affiliate network, but there are gems too. Before Odyssey travel left CJ I made over 50k with very low adwords cost. Good luck! -Patz
Like other posters have said, be patient and keep at it. It took me several months before I received my first commission but eventually the money starts coming in.
