Getting Started.....

    I am very new to adsense, and currently have a blog that I just started. However, I was wondering what I should do to get my foot in the door. Is it absolutely necessary to spend extreme amounts of money on advertising? Again, I am really new to this and am just looking for some beginner tips. Any help is appreciated.

    - Link exchange with similar sites
    - Submit to directories and join some social bookmarking programs
    - Keep you site updated with fresh, interesting and original content
