Getting started with coding a website

Hello web code pros! Please pardon my ignorance as I'm very new to code!

So I have a web design that I'm looking to build. The design itself it minimalistic 3 column. I have done a lot of design over the years but never really took to code! I'm going to try again however and I'm determined to be able to code basic pages this time around as it can be very useful!

My question is what is the fastest / easiest way to get my designs coded? It doesn't have to be rock solid. I just want to get it up and build on it from there. Should I be looking at installing Drupal / Joomla straight away to fiddle with? Should I start learning CSS / XHTML? (if so what books/websites are good to get the basics down?) What about those site builders - Dreamweaver and the visual web builders such as www.viviti.com (many others im sure)? Any other ways to get it built?

Bear in mind that there isn't much functionality behind the site, its mainly just simple, pleasant pages that link to each other. The importance is to get the design accurate, as seen in my PSD files.

    Any suggestions / advice? Thanks!

Learn CSS and XHTML first. Start using drupal when you are more advanced.
