Getting started with clickbank

okay, i have a fairly new anime website (almost a year old) thats recently been blacklisted from adsense (check sig) so its currently making little to no income. as such, ive turned to clickbank. the site gets about 1k uniques/day, and was approaching $50/mo on adsense before it was banned.

with that said, im wondering how does one get started coming from simply displaying ads on their page to promoting/selling products through clickbank. for a site such as mine, how would i go about directing my visitors to buy a product? do i have to make the advertisements myself or are they provided through clickbank like adsense?

im a little confused on how these affiliate programs work as ive never heard of clickbank until looking for an adsense alternative.

Clickbank is a little different as it is an open system - you can browse the marketplace yourself - basically a list of all the merchants on clickbank:

    http://www.clickbank.com/marketplace.htm

    - find relevant products and then visit their pages / affiliate resources and display their banners / graphics on your site and when people click to them, and buy you get a commission - it varies from merchant to merchant, and no one can really tell you which offers exactly will convert for you so a little trial and error is required - but on this forum you are in the right place and should be able to learn a bit to get started.

Edit: to be honest I am not sure clickbank is right for you looking at your site.. I think most sites like yours would go for CPA type programs - you can read more about how they work a little here:

CPA offers don't annoy or drive visitors away if you use the right ones. It's not like you're forcing them to sign up to anything. Just find a CPA offer that is similar to the niche of your website and place a few banners on the site.

well ive looked at cpalead.com and all ive seen they had for publishers were annoying surveys.. by putting surveys on my site, the user has to spend several minutes filling it out to get a file that he could just as easily get at a similar site.

so by doing this i think it would turn alot of people off especially considering when they can just go to other sites where they wouldnt have to bother with annoying surveys.

CPA is designed to use on large traffic websites and the ones

.. especially created for CPA ..

You can't have CPA certainly on an established niche blog ...

... at least not on every post.

The right surveys related to your content will do great though...

But again .. any pop-ups online are kind of annoying to visitors.
