Create a Wordpress website on which you will review some Amazon products and don't forget to inlcude your affiliate links.

To get traffic, do SEO - hire a link builder or do link building yourself - do articles marketing, forum posting, do-follow blogs commenting, link exchanges and you can also buy some links from sites related to your site.

Andrej said it right: don't start with a "store". Go instead with an affiliate review blog or site. Wordpress works wonderfully with this concept, as a lot of people will vouch for their success with it and Amazon Associates.

Then it's just about promotion to rank for keywords related to your products. I've found that targeting keywords with the product names of what I promote work best, with very high conversions. And even if they don't buy the product you're promoting, the Amazon cookie embedded in their systems will still net you a commission if they purchase anything from Amazon.

Getting started with Amazon is easy. You can make product review (or niche) sites - write unique reviews, make comparison tables, insert Youtube videos of products and bring in traffic. You can also write unique articles on Hubpages, Squidoo or Infobarrel.

Go to Flippa and search for sites already making $$$ from Amazon. Notice how those sites make money and implement your own ideas.

Christmas, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, New Year is coming - make sites on these topics and start promoting them, when the dates come near.

Check out over 86 Resources to make money with Amazon or this 10 day FREE course by Chris Guthrie. He has made over $90,336.65 with Amazon.

Being an Amazon affiliate offers a whole host of possibilities. But think of your Amazon affiliation as a way to monetize your niche site, not as the site.

So first off, decide on the niche you’re interested in and start doing some research. Be narrow enough in your niche that you can create a unique position for your site. See what Amazon products are a good match & look at what other sites promoting those/similar products are doing.

Next pick a domain to go along with your topic – something keyword reach and straight forward. This is not one of those things to go too creative with.

I’d then suggest setting up a WP site w/a nice theme and then set up some categories to blog about. Go pick products off of Amazon & write up little reviews. You can even look at existing reviews & use those as inspiration.

I don't personally use this as I use the old and trusted Microsoft Frontpage, but setting up a Wordpress themed site for your promotions would be a wise option. Find an area that you find easy to review and/or write about something you find easy or have a passion for (my favourite is technology products) and look for products which either are of high value or they might be easier to get traffic for. Look for positive and recent feedback on the product and that the item is also in stock, as you don't want a prospective customer to click through your link only to find that, the product has been slated by a purchaser or it's out of stock! Once you've found a product(s) check with any available keyword tool and preferably a free one, as you want to avoid a trying to promote a product which has a set of keywords with high or medium competition, as it will take some time for you to compete and reach page one on Google, look for product phrases which have low competition or even limited data, as it better to be on page one for low competitive kewyords then page two for high or medium competitive one's. Once you've found your products write your content with the bullet points for the main features keep it short and straightforward with your main phrases in your title tags, main description, image and extended domain (optional) and a call to action at the bottom like - Click Here For More Information On The ---------- and that way it doesn't come across as a forced sale.

There is definitely good money to be made with Amazon and a few simple changes back in June have turned a £10 a month Amazon account in to a £200 a month account and rising with the more links I create.

    Best of Luck

    Mark :)

Amazon is powerful, and especially around the holidays advertising very targeted products. One thing you could try is to buy a domainname that is the same as a product name (not a brand name but a specific product name - i.e. a specific flat screen tv model name). This will ramp in a lot of highly targeted buyers and not information seekers. Try it out and good luck with that.

I'm sure it will work if you can drive enough targeted traffic of buyers.... Have in mind that only having one website can be risky (all your eggs in one basket) - but it absolutely also have its pros. Wishing you the best - let's hear how it all goes.

Well, I don't have any white rabbit to pull out of the hat, because it doesn't exist (though you may have heard others say the opposite when they try to sell you some 'one-click-riches' product)... Free traffic usually requires an investment of time - if you don't have time you need to invest some money. You'll get nowhere without an investment - the more and the smarter you invest, the more you get in return.Online free traffic: SEO optimization (time consuming), networking on facebook, twitter, youtube, article writing, forums, blogging etc. (you probably know them already)Think offline also: Networking with family, friends, co-workers, business networking groups (like BNI) - there are people anywhere, talk enthustiastically with them about your project - that's free advertising.
