Getting spammed on my blog

Today, I received about a hundred spam comments from this same person:

I have my wordpress on moderation mode, but he keeps changing his IP, so even when I flag the messages as spam, they keep coming.

Any advice?

 

do you have akismet on? they're pretty good at catching spam.

 

akismet is one of best method to prevent spam.
there are many plugins that you can install in your blog. To me i am using math plugins.

 

I get hit with 100's of comment spams a week and the spam mod that is built into WP works great for stopping 99% of it.

 

Yes recently same thing was happening to me some idiot was commenting
"Google Is The Best Search Engine" :-S

 

Activate akismet and they will never bother you again.

 

Yeah, I was getting that one as well. Not sure what they got out of it cuz they actually used Google's URL.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I just activated askimet, so we'll see what happens.

 

i gotta tell mastermemei about this. she's had her blog flooded too.

Well...its obviously working because I haven't received a single spam since I activated akismet.

 

askimet is the GOD who know alot about spams comments, just activate and you will only get the good comments and other will go to HELL
